Meet Benjamin Howell

Licensed Medical Massage Therapist in Sedona, Arizona | Founder of ZONA Bodywork.

A Personalized Approach to Healing that Lasts.

Master Level Massage & Bodywork, Rooted in Sedona, AZ

No two bodies are the same, which means that no two sessions should be either. Every massage I offer is fully customized, built around your needs, preferences, and goals. I listen, both to your words and to what your body reveals. I translate that into focused, intentional bodywork.

With more than 15 years of hands-on healing experience, I’ve served everyone from professional athletes, dancers, and actors, to ultramarathoners, locals, avid hikers, and wellness seekers like you and me. I’m a Licensed Medical Massage Therapist (LMT, LNMT) and a seasoned practitioner who has trained in countless modalities. My toolkit truly has no limits.

Every session at ZONA Bodywork is a fusion of intention, precision, and adaptability, designed to support deeper recovery, physical resilience, and full-body harmony.

My aim isn’t just to help you feel better during the session, but to create lasting change that supports you long after you leave the table.

This isn’t temporary relief, it’s bodywork that stays with you.

My Journey into Massage Therapy and Bodywork

My path to massage therapy started with an injury I’ll never forget. In 2012, I was playing semi-professional soccer when I tore every major ligament in both knees. Due to nerve damage and other complications with my surgeries, doctors told me I’d likely never walk again.

That prognosis changed my life. I spent the next three years in full-time recovery, undergoing surgeries, physical therapy, and daily rehab. I had 14 screws/pins placed between my knees, but more importantly…

I discovered what it means to heal.

The support I received from massage therapists, chiropractors, and bodyworkers didn’t just get me moving again, it gave me a new mission.

I enrolled at Universal Therapeutics Massage Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, graduating with honors in 2016. Since then, I’ve committed myself to helping others experience the same kind of transformation I went through, combining advanced education with a deeply personal understanding of pain, trauma, and healing.

Today, I live and practice in Sedona, Arizona, with my amazing wife Brianna and our two daughters, Scarlett and Avalon. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me hiking the red rocks, learning new bodywork techniques, and continuing to grow as a practitioner and human being.

I’d be honored to work with you.
